In the midst of planning for the 2019 Komen Detroit Race for the Cure, Covid-19 halted preparation for the annual downtown Detroit event that attracts over, 20,000 walkers and racers to the city. Guru Team 313 stepped in to brand a new virtual campaign, "Pink it Out", that allowed the organization to engage the community and complete their fundraising efforts without an in-person race.
